Annual Christmas Show Preparations Begin!

The holiday season has a way of sneaking up on us, and Christmas is almost here again! Every year, the students of the Chicago Actors Studio write and perform a holiday show, affectionately roasting the school’s instructors and staff members. This annual tradition is the highlight of our Christmas party, which always draws a crowd of over 100 people, including local actors, directors, producers, and agents.

Current and former students are encouraged to take part in this show, which is always a lot of fun. In recent years, these shows have evolved to utilize video in addition to the traditional live action portions. So, even if you don’t think you’ll be available for the full production, you may still be able to take part in a video segment!

The Christmas party is currently scheduled for Sunday, December 14th. The first meeting for the show will be Sunday, October 19th, at 6:00pm. At this first meeting, students will begin writing the show, plan out a rehearsal schedule, and nominate a director.

If you aren’t able to attend the first meeting, but would still like to be part of the show, make sure you send an Email to
and let us know your scheduling conflicts for rehearsals.
